Founded in New York in 2025, Studio SO is a design practice comprising Rick Fu, Stan Zhang, and CJ Chou. The team members have contributed to architectural and interior design projects around the world through their previous experience at international design firms, developing expertise across diverse contexts, scales, and typologies. The studio's practice spans residential, commercial, cultural, and exhibition spaces.
Studio SO is interested in the continuity between architecture, interiors, and objects, treating spatial organization, material expression, and realization as parts of an integrated design process. The studio works from the specific conditions, uses, and context of each project to develop clear and grounded spatial responses across different scales.
The practice currently works across New York, New Jersey, and China, collaborating with clients, consultants, and construction teams from concept through realization.
